This is due to the fact that the global economy is consuming more and more energy, and according to the estimates given in the article, the conventional sources will be available for about 40-60 years. The need to respond to climate change, rising prices of conventional fuels have forced concerted actions worldwide in the field of environmentally sustainable energy.
