From linear structure to matrix structure – the case study

Abstract

Many manufacturing companies existing on the Polish market,notonly from the textile sector, including,forexample, thefood industry,operate on the basis of a linear organizational structure. The article is based on thethesis that many of themcouldintroduce a matrix structure, whichwouldimprove the functioningof the com-pany.Making anattempt to justify such a thesis, a case study is usedasillustrative. Consequently, this articlebecame a theoretical-empirical study.
